Questions:
1- How many passive sentences are there in the last paragraph?
2- Are these statements True or false?
a- in our time, mare than one and half million children have been killed in wars.
b- Millions of children are scarred physically and mentally .
c- The psychological wounds are less seen .
3- Answer the following questions from the text .
a- were there any wars against children in the middle ages?
b- Why are the psychological wounds different from the physical ones?
4- In the last paragraph , the writer expresses a personal opinion, what is it ?
5- Find in the text words,phrases,or expressions whose definitions
follow: a- persons killed or seriously injured (§2)
b-to be present when some thing happens (§3)
Section two : A/Mastery of language.
1-Supply punctuation and capitals where necessary:
the fbi has caught as dangerous man called mario cortes
2- write the definition of the following words:
racism -address- spiritual-can.

3- Rewrite sentence(b) so that it means the same as sentence (a):
a- We can build a mew culture of non-violence for humankind.
b- A new culture of non-violence ……………………………..
a- We all agree that children's rights, health and growth must be protected
b- We all agree that we ……………………………………………………
a- "We can build a culture of non-violence for humankind which will give hope
to all humanity"

4- Reoder these words to build a meaningful sentence:

5-Put the verbs in ( ) in to their right tense:

Topic two: Imagine you are the head master of a secondary school .
